Prices per square meter in the Rivierenbuurt have risen to an average of nearly €7,000/m²! More and more people are realizing how wonderful it is to live here: charming, green, and always lively thanks to the squares and lovely terraces. It’s a great neighborhood, which makes it extremely popular and constantly evolving. Scheldestraat and Maasstraat, in particular, are popular shopping streets where many people enjoy spending time, but Rijnstraat is also gaining popularity.
Highest number of transactions in a quarter!
In the third quarter of 2020, 115 homes were sold—the highest number in years! A year ago, that figure was 85, so that’s a spectacular increase of no less than 35%!
Families are settling in the Rivierenbuurt neighborhood
As a neighborhood specialist, I’ve noticed that the Rivierenbuurt is a popular choice among (small) families, which translates into higher prices for larger homes in this neighborhood. The Rivierenbuurt is characterized by homes that are, on average, larger than those in most other neighborhoods in Amsterdam. Ground-floor homes with large gardens are ideal for families!
