While most real estate agents simply post photos of available properties online, Amsterdam at Home Makelaars proactively showcases homes specifically to the target audience for which they are suitable. “Above all, we want our clients to find that one place where they feel at home,” says Wouter Thöne, who founded Amsterdam at Home seven years ago together with his partner Anouk Monnik. “We want to be a true partner to our clients—one they can trust to find the perfect new home or to sell their current one,” Monnik explains. “To do that, we’re pursuing a broad strategy and using listing sites both in the Netherlands and abroad—for example, on Rightmove in the United Kingdom. We’re also implementing targeted social media campaigns.”

This proactive approach has proven to be highly effective. "The chances of getting more viewings, better prices for homes, and faster sales are much higher," adds Thöne.
High-End Segment This new approach, combined with their proprietary data models that allow them to predict market trends with great accuracy, has made Amsterdam at Home one of the top real estate agencies in the capital, particularly in the high-end segment. “We know the city. So we know what a neighborhood has to offer and what our clients want. It creates the perfect match,” says Thöne enthusiastically. “We do our best to make our clients feel at home, both here at our office and in their new place, and that’s what our clients value most about us. That’s why we do what we do,” laughs Monnik.
